After a career in the Finnish Elite League, Janne made the jump to the NHL with the Flyers before being traded to the Oilers.
With his fluid skating stride, phenomonal on-ice vision, shot selection and physical presence, he never looked out of place.
A gambler at heart, he can create offense on the break or by pinching at the proper time.
Has represented Finland at three World Junior Championships, two World Championships, a Canada Cup and the '98 Olympics.
